Over the past few years, I have been trying to volunteer and give back to the community.

I have grown my hair and cut it for cancer wigs twice (a minimum of 10" is required for hair length, so each time, I had to grow it for over two years). In addition to donating the hair, I also added in a fundraising component for the Canadian Cancer Society; the first raising over $3,000 and the second time raising over $5,000.

Every December my Dad and I volunteer at the Calgary Food Bank collecting donation boxes around the city to deliver back to the Calgary Food Bank.

For the past few years, my hockey team have worn a poppy on our jerseys for Remembrance Day to help honour the war heroes.

In November 2019, my hockey team volunteered at the Canadian Tire Hayley Wickenheiser World Female Hockey Festival, affectionately known as WickFest.
-
In December 2019, my Midget hockey team started a bottle drive, so we could raise money to buy toys for Toy Angels, a charity that gives Christmas presents to families who are financially struggling. We raised just over $1,200 and went on a shopping spree - see the photo below!

Most recently, I have volunteered with Deanna Curran helping her teach younger players to skate and learn their edges.
